Selected examples of the troubleshooting, custom functionality, and integrations I build for real client systems.
Case 01
API Integration / WordPress / PHP / Automation
A client needed registrations from an external CrowdStack community platform synchronized with a separate WordPress/CiviCRM system. Earlier attempts had stalled, the documentation was limited, and CiviCRM was new to me when the work began.
After finding that CrowdStack could not trigger the expected notifications, I built a custom WordPress integration that periodically queried CrowdStack, synchronized new member information into CiviCRM, and tracked previous runs to avoid reprocessing registrations.
The integration was deployed to production. The client then hired me again to extend it with additional membership data and profile fields.
The follow-up phase added Free/VIP membership data and more profile fields. Because thousands of records could require substantial processing time, recurring processing was moved to server-level cron instead of relying entirely on WordPress scheduling.
Case 02
WordPress Debugging / PHP / Custom Functionality
A custom WordPress activities calendar had been left unfinished by another developer. One visible bug caused certain months to disappear.
I traced the problem to future months being calculated in fixed 30-day increments. Adding 30 days to March 31 produced May 1, skipping April. I corrected the date logic and improved the WordPress admin controls for selecting the relevant month and year.
The client confirmed that the calendar worked correctly, gave the project 5.0/5 feedback, and returned repeatedly for further WordPress development and maintenance.
Case 03
WooCommerce / PHP / Custom Functionality
A nonprofit food market let customers choose between a lower and higher product price. Its existing WooCommerce customization stored the higher price at product level but did not properly support individual variations.
I extended the implementation with variation-level higher pricing, product-page presentation, cart and checkout calculations, and storage and display of the higher order total in WooCommerce admin.
The client confirmed that the final order presentation and stored pricing information matched the organization's needs.
I also corrected an existing price-range calculation issue. When a plugin conflict surfaced, I used a prepared rollback, reproduced the site's plugin environment for testing, revised the implementation, and redeployed with negligible production downtime.

03 / How I Work
I approach projects as a developer: understand the problem, identify the cause, implement the smallest reliable solution, and test it properly.
I prefer finding the actual cause of a problem instead of stacking plugins or workarounds on top of it.
Customizations should survive normal updates whenever possible. I use hooks, filters, child themes, custom plugins, and other update-safe approaches.
We agree on what the feature or fix needs to accomplish before development starts.
I'll explain what I found, what I changed, and anything you should know after delivery.
04 / About
I'm a web developer with more than 17 years of experience building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and extending websites and web applications.
My core work is in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, and API integrations. Over the years I've worked on custom WordPress functionality, third-party integrations, standalone PHP applications, databases, front-end development, and server-side troubleshooting.
I particularly enjoy projects where there's a clear problem to solve: something isn't working, an existing system needs new functionality, or two systems need to communicate with each other.
I work remotely with clients and businesses that need practical development help without unnecessary complexity.
